CareFlight Training and Safety Services is a quality assured organisation, offering nationally recognised courses for Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET). All course competencies meet the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and give graduates full accreditation upon completion (PMA OHS 214B).

Trainees develop hands-on experience and confidence using the latest technology in submerged helicopter simulators, and learn essential post-accident water survival techniques (life jacket and life raft training).

More than 3,000 trainees with backgrounds in aviation, marine, defence and emergency service industries graduate every year with CTSS HUET accreditation, in Australia and overseas. The training focuses on both rotary (helicopter) and fixed wing (jet) aircraft and is specifically designed to heighten safety procedures, danger awareness and operational standards for flights over or near water.

Helicopter Underwater Escape Training has been shown to increase post-accident underwater survival by up to 250%.

The locations of our domestic courses include Thursday Island, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and Adelaide.  Other locations are available on a quote basis.
